My name is Michael and I'm the owner of Michael Newman Photography LLC in Richton.
Before photography, my path took me through a lot of different kinds of work, from loading lumber at a hardware store, various jobs at churches, video, social media and graphic design. Each chapter taught me something about people, creativity, and storytelling. But the real origin story for my photography is becoming a dad.
Watching my kids grow up changed how I see time. It made me realize how quickly the ordinary moments become the ones we wish we could step back into.
These days, I’m usually in the middle of family life, homeschooling, teaching life lessons through house projects, driving to sports, taking my sons to Trail Life, cooking supper together and keeping up with the everyday chores that make a house feel like home.
A lot of my life is made up of small, real moments, the learning, the laughter, the mess, the work and the connection. And that’s exactly what I love to photograph.
I care about giving families photos they’ll actually live with, artwork on their walls that reminds them who they are and what matters, not just images that sit on a phone.
